June Update - Shipping begins (update your address!)

Hello lovely backers,

Manufacturing is complete! This month we will begin shipping Deep Space D-6 Reissue. 

I am locking down addresses in the next 48 hours!!

Please make sure to change your address if you have moved or plan on moving. You can change your address by logging into your BackerKit account or using the BackerKit email that was sent to your Kickstarter email as a part of this campaign. If you haven't moved and don't plan on moving, there's nothing you have to do, as I've already collected addresses a while ago. 

This is very important! Everyday I receive messages about how to update an address. If your package is sent to the wrong address, I will do my best to re-route and correct the problem, but the shipping companies I use cannot be held responsible for incorrect addresses. 

How does shipping work?

If you live in Asia, Russia, or a zone not listed below, you'll be sent a package directly from the manufacturer in China. 

If you live in the US, Canada, and most of NA, your copy will be freighted on a boat to a shipment facility in the US, then delivered to your door.

If you live in the EU region, your copy will be trucked to a shipment facility in the UK, then delivered to your door.

If you live in Australia, New Zealand, or neighboring areas, your copy will be freighted on a boat to a shipment facility in Australia, then delivered to your door.

This does mean that further away regions will take more time to get the game. I know it's not June delivery deadline we hoped for, but it's as fast and efficient as I've been able to do. I continue to be grateful for everyone's continued patience and understanding. 

Before I forget like last time, HERE are the 3D .STL files for anyone who would like to 3D print their own ships for use with the RPG supplement. These are 100% optional. DSD6 comes with stickers for you to use on your own tokens. 3D printing can be very costly and require some extra handiwork. Use at your own discretion!

I printed these through Shapeways using the recommended material "White Strong & Flexible".  I drilled small holes into the bottom of each one and attached them to plastic flight stands I picked up on Amazon.

Hello Backers,

I just received the digital sample today. The digital sample is a test print of the graphics and assets properly cut and aligned. It is typically not printed on the actual cardstock and material that will be used, but as you can see below, they sent samples of what the material will be like (it's the blank stuff).

 Yes it all somehow fits into the base game box.

 Using books to hold down the prints.

The components that saw no change from the first edition are already printed (Over 60,000 dice!) and I'll be signing off on the new stuff after some minor adjustments. Unfortunately, I still don't have an exact ship date, but in my previous projects, shipping is only a month or so after the 'OK to print'. 

Address Updates

If you need to update your address, you can do so through BackerKit. Look for the BackerKit email from this campaign, or if you have a BackerKit account (highly recommended if you back a lot of Kickstarters that use BackerKit), you can go to https://deep-space-d-6.backerkit.com. I will send address reminder emails out to everyone when shipping begins.

Progress Update

Greetings Backers,

Here is the current status of the project. The files have been completed, submitted, mostly approved (see below) and now we're waiting for an OK to print. 

A: This is the expansion box. Because it has changed over the course of it's development, I have to wait for a new template as components get updated. Smaller boxes can change often when production begins as you find out things like how two 30-card mini-decks won't be stable side by side.  It doesn't mean new design, just laying out the graphics onto a new box size (it's actually just a tuckbox). 

This is just a quick update for the status, as the next update should give us an actual manufacturing date and delivery timetable. I continue to be thankful for everyone's patience and understanding.
